The CNMSS participates in the European Immunization Week (SEV) launched by the World Health Organization in 2005. Co-ordinated jointly by the ministry in charge of health and the national public health agency France, it aims to promote a better understanding of issues of vaccine protection.

This year, the SEV will take place from April 24 to 30 and the chosen theme is “the best protection is vaccination”

The aim is to increase immunization coverage by raising awareness of the importance of immunization among parents, caregivers, health professionals, policy makers, decision makers and the media.

The role of health professionals

Prescribing health professionals (doctors and midwives), this is an opportunity to take stock of your practices, your knowledge and encourage vaccination.

Pharmacists, nurses, physiotherapists… You are local health professionals who listen to your customers and your patients, you are therefore privileged actors to answer their questions and to support them in their decision to be vaccinated.

The action of the CNMSS

On the occasion of SEV 2019, the CNMSS sets up information and awareness stands on vaccination in 26 nurseries, 4 army training hospitals and 2 military units, in collaboration with the Army Health Service (SSA) and the Institution of Social Management of the Armed Forces (IGESA).

All French regions, through Regional Health Agencies (ARS) and a network of partners, are mobilizing to raise awareness and inform the general public and health professionals about vaccination, its challenges and its news by highlighting implementation of local actions.
