Many young people demanded it: vaccination will be open “without age limit” from May 12 if there are still appointments available for the next day.

Emmanuel Macron announced on May 6 that the French will be able to make an appointment the day before for the next day to be vaccinated against Covid from May 12. They will thus be vaccinated with unused doses of vaccine.

In order “not to waste any dose whatsoever”, “from Wednesday 12th, you will be able to look at the available doses the day before and that whatever your age, and if there is, at the place where you are, doses available the next day, and therefore appointments not made, they will be open without age limit, “said the Head of State.

Priority to over 50s

In addition, all people over 50 will be able to be vaccinated from May 10, instead of May 15 as planned so far. This should make it possible to accelerate the vaccine campaign against the Covid. The head of state said that the appointments can be made from tomorrow Friday, May 7.

“The campaign is continuing at a forced march,” he added, inaugurating the first major Paris vaccine park, installed at Porte de Versailles in Paris. This first Parisian vaccinodrome is installed in hall 5 of the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles, where 2,500 to 3,000 people can be vaccinated per day.
