Incidence and alert threshold

The alert threshold is set at 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. It is highest in the Pyrénées-Orientales, with 345 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In Haute-Corse, it amounts to 266 new contaminations per 100,000 inhabitants.

Much of these new cases are due to the more contagious Delta variant. According to the Institut Pasteur, it will no doubt even be responsible for a fourth wave in the fall.
