Vaccination of all adults brought forward to May 31

This announcement comes the day after that of Prime Minister Jean Castex, who advances vaccination to all adults on May 31.

For now, it is theoretically still subject to conditions for 18-50 year olds who can only be vaccinated if they have comorbidities or if they make an appointment for a remaining dose overnight.

What about 12-15 year olds? The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is currently studying an extension of Pfizer’s vaccine to all adolescents. While waiting for this green light, Germany has already said it is ready to vaccinate its adolescents by the end of the summer. Across the Atlantic, Canada and the United States have been vaccinating 12-15 year olds since mid-May.
