In Wuhan, appearance of the epidemic

It all started in a market in Wuhan, a Chinese city of 11 million people in Hubei province. Whether the Sars-Cov-2 virus came from a bat or a pangolin, its precise origin remains to be determined by the WHO, but its spread across the world is now well known, as shown. our infographic:

Spread of the epidemic

Subsequently, the virus spread to other countries, to the point that the WHO classifies the Covid as a pandemic on March 11. The Covid in France

In France, the epidemic is spreading from the end of January at a worrying rate, to achieve the situation that will lead to the first lockdown on March 17. France goes from 191 cases on March 2 to more than 10,000 on the 20th.

The epidemic does not yet seem to be nearing its end in France: 128,551 people have tested positive this week, against 126,734 the previous week.
