The measure concerns the city of Dunkirk and the Hauts de Flandre community of municipalities, where the situation of the covid epidemic is “alarming”, according to Olivier Véran.

The incidence rates of covid are indeed 900 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, four times more than the national average which is 205 cases per 100,000.

This epidemic outbreak is explained by a significant presence of the British variant, which is more contagious than the old variant.

Closure of shopping centers
